Our Staff

Susan Smiga, MD

Susan is one of our Principal Investigators. She joined our team in August 2019 and is a board certified Child and Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist.  She relocated to the Upper Valley in 2008 with her spouse and two children, and now has a Mini Australian Shepherd, and a leopard Gecko as well as a berry garden and raised vegetable beds to nourish herself and her family.

Jen Wilson, MA

Jennifer S. Wilson, MA, is a Sub-investigator, Study Coordinator, Rater, and our Director of Operations.  She received her B.A. at Castleton State College where she was president of the PSI CHI chapter (National Honor Society in Psychology) and graduated with honors in psychology.  She earned her master’s degree in Psychology from Northcentral University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. She is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.  She has been working at WRC since 2001.  In her free time, Jen enjoys spending time with her dogs, hiking, snowboarding, and playing in the snow.

Brenda Balenger

Brenda has been in the clinical research industry for many years in several capacities.  She has worked with Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Allergan, AbbVie, and many CROs as a clinical research associate in ophthalmology, neurology and psychiatry, oncology, dermatology, GI, pulmonology, rheumatology, and healthy volunteers. She is happy to be returning to WRC to have closer contact with participants and to be a part of a team. She also coaches two rowing teams and competes in several regattas each year and loves to run in the woods with her dogs.

Patricia Daly, MD

Pat Daly is one of our Principal Investigators.  She has worked at WRC since 2006.  She earned her medical degree at MCP Hahnemann and trained at nearby DHMC. She is a board certified psychiatrist for both adults and children. She is the proud grandmother of 4 grandkids and 1 granddog.

Canine Friends

Currently we have two dogs who are regular members of our team. Energetic Levi is an Australian Shepherd that keeps an eye on everyone with a wiggle and a smile. Toast is our newest member of the support staff – a Great Dane with a soft heart who loves wrestling with Levi.
