Our Staff

Susan Smiga, MD

Susan is a Principal Investigator at our site, Susan joined our team in August 2019 and is a board certified Child and Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist.  She relocated to the Upper Valley in 2008 with her spouse and two children and now has three dogs, a cockatiel and a leopard Gecko as well as a berry garden and raised vegetable beds to nourish herself and her family.

Jennifer Wilson, MA

Jennifer S. Wilson, MA is a Sub-investigator, Study Coordinator, Rater, and Director of Operations.   She received her B.A. at Castleton State College where she was president of the PSI CHI chapter (National Honor Society in Psychology) and graduated with honors in psychology.  She earned her master’s degree in Psychology from Northcentral University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. She is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.  She has been working at WRC since 2001.  In her free time,   Jen enjoys spending time with her dogs, hiking, snowboarding, and playing in the snow.

Sue Shaw, Administrative Director

Sue joined WRC in March of this year to assist with business development, both in number of contracts under engagement, as well as subject recruitment for each contracted study.  Sue is new to clinical research and comes with a Finance and Human Resource background.  Sue minored in Psychology in college and is enjoying the ability to draw upon this education in her new role.  Sue enjoys the outdoors and the recreation that the Upper Valley offers.

Patricia Daly, MD

Pat Daly is the Principal Investigator and Medical Director at our Site.  She has been at our office since 2006.  She earned her medical degree at MCP Hahnemann and trained at nearby DHMC. She is a board certified psychiatrist in both adults and children. She is the proud grandmother of 4 grandkids and 1 grandog.

Erzsie Nagy

Erzsie started as a Clinical Research Coordinator late in the fall of 2020. She received her B.A. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Middlebury College where she ran cross country and track. She earned her M.S. in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has plans to go back to school to become a physician. In her free time, Erzsie likes going for long trail runs, exploring Vermont on her bike, and watching Audrey Hepburn movies.

Lisa Serpa, Marketing & Technology Consultant

Lisa started working with the team in 2020 to help further our marketing efforts. She has worked at Teradyne as the Corporate Web Product Manager acting as a liason with the business groups and IT department to bring customers high end solutions. She is currently an independent marketing and technology consultant that partners with small business owners to develop successful marketing campaigns and web technologies. Lisa is the proud Mom of two grown intelligent sons and two very cute furbabies.

Canine Friends

Currently we have two dogs who are regular members of our team at the Center. Charlie, a year old Brittany Spaniel/Beagle mix rescued by Jen from a shelter in Alabama, is our quiet handsome greeter and Tabby, a 14 year old mixed terrier/chihuahua rescue who has been with Susan since her California days, is the proof that some feel young at heart forever.
